Album Notes
“The Movement integrates Italian and Hip Hop with strummed Mandolin, violin and Euro-Dance style synths with bangin' hip hop beats and his own clever rhymes… This CD is well produced and no doubt will garner a lot of sales and airplay.” CASHBOX Magazine (5 star review)

With the release of his much-anticipated album, The Movement , Carvelli created one serious buzz. The eye-catching video of the title track enjoyed play on both MuchMusic and MTV Canada as well as garnering play on national campus radio and commercial CHR radio in both Canada and the U.S. with a #18 position on Canada’s TOP 20 National Hip Hop charts and #22 on CMJ. A successful entrepreneur in the business world, Carvelli formed his own independent record label in 2000. Earlier tracks Carvelli released, scored radio play and MTV Miami video exposure. Carvelli Records is designed to represent hiphop, r ‘n b, pop, and traditional music artists. With his latest scorching hot new track, featuring acclaimed singer/songwriter/producer TQ and ‘Queen of Crunk’ Rasheeda, Carvelli is now poised to make a major musical impact.

R&B rapper TQ’s 1998 debut solo album They Never Saw Me Coming, which included the hits “Westside” and “Bye Bye Baby,” made him an instant worldwide success. The single “Westside” debuted in the Top Ten in several countries, and in some countries at 1# in the very first week. The song stayed on top of the charts for weeks, collectively selling in excess of 1.2 million singles worldwide. TQ’s latest album Paradise was recently released in a partnership with Gracie Productions and distribution through EMI. Rasheeda, the famous female MC hailing from Atlanta, Georgia has been cranking out hits since early 2000. Her lyrically acclaimed track “My Bubble Gum” was featured as the main ring tone used in the Number One Box Office hit movie Paul Bart’s Mall Cop and placed her career on a national persona like no other female emcee. ‘ My Bubble Gum’ hit the Top 20 at urban radio, sold 200k in digital downloads & ring tones and was also placed in the games United States of Tara & the video game Audition. Her single ‘Vibrate’ hit the Top 15 Urban Charts & was a top 40 radio Gold single. “…it’s a good time to mention some of the fine Maple Leaf-stamped albums that havec ome OTB’s way recently. CARVELLI is an Italian-Canadian producer and MC who fuses his two passions: hiphop and his Italian heritage, to imaginative effect on his new EP, Movement.”
