ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Back in the early 1990's when everything that was positive was "Butta' Baby," there was a spot in Upper Manhattan where creative people came together to share inspiration and create something new. The spot came to be known as the "Casa Mantequilla." The musicians, artists, teachers and healers that gathered at the Casa followed the credo "Mantequilla mezcla todo" - butter blends everything. In the 25 years that have ensued, Casa Mantequilla has become a local favorite with its energy, musicianship and positive vibes. Mantequilla plays "blues-infused global grooves" that touch upon, and are inspired by, blues, soul, Latin jazz, Arabic grooves, soukouss, reggae, makossa and so much more. Step into the Casa. I know you'll feel right at home.
