ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Cashmere Williams has come full circle blending his two favorite styles of music - Gospel & Jazz. Starting out in church at the young age of seven, he learned from older musicians how to blend with a band. When he turned eight, he won his first talent show playing an old gospel tune his uncle taught him on the guitar. In 1994, he was accepted into the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA beating out guitarists from all over the world for a partial scholarship. When he returned to Alabama, he recorded his first self-titled CD making his first mark as a professional in the music business. In 2003, he toured with American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard appearing on national TV shows like: The Jay Leno Show, The David Letterman Show, The View, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and many more. In 2010, Cashmere released his sophomore album titled "New Birth" a dedication to his daughter Harmonie. Recently, Cashmere was honored by The Alabama Music Awards for "Best Male Jazz Artist 2016" an award only given to the best of the best.
