ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Under the Sky is a collection of original tunes. The songs are an easy ride musically with folk and jazz overtones, and a lyrical invitation to share the writer's observations on love, complex relationships, and the collective experience of a changing global environment.
Standard jazz influences are noted in some of the musical arrangements as accompanied by the bassist/guitarist, Stephen Roane. Country and folk influences are heard in songs featuring Stephen Roane on slide guitar and Cathleen Adams on tenor banjo.
Several of the songs highlight themes of environmental concerns including the wild animal welfare song, King of Pride, written in response to the highly publicized trophy killing of Cecil the Lion in South Africa. Other songs address climate and earth changes and are meant as subtle challenges to individual and global responsibility.
A majority of the proceeds from this album will go to: Animal Defenders International www.ad-International.org
