A great debut jazz trio album. Intense one minute, then like a quiet folk song the next.

A Wonderful Pleasure to Listen to Repeatedly
This CD has it all: good sound recording quality, an excellent trio that plays as a TRIO, well tailored arrangements, some of them reflective but all swinging. Crisp ride cymbal work and well placed snare and tom patterns, invigorating bass playing, with double stops, glissandi, strumming and rapidly executed solos along with inventive support for Caviani whose pianistics one could only ask to hear more of, especially as she turns up the heat on more than one selection. Rhythm section stops and turns on a dime through out the proceedings adding well placed support to the bright piano solos, as well as taking some sparkling solos of their own-keeping the whole proceeding of interest from start to finish. Nice array of standards and originals. Definitely merits repeated visits to the CD player.
