ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is classic Southern California folk-rock with a little West Texas swing and East Tennessee twang. If you love singer-songwriters from the 1970s, you'll love this CD! Think of the music of James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Graham Parsons, and Carole King sung with a warm, rich voice ala Patsy Cline, Martina McBride, Barbara Mandrell, Sara Evans, and k.d. lang.

Fortunate Woman features C. C. Grace on guitar and vocals, the incomparable Greg Liesz on pedal steel, Tom Izzo on lead guitar, and Eric Rawson and Rick Cunha behind the board.

Fortunate Women
A trip back in time, to sultry summers, before talent, life and the world began to devolve. A great cover. Best song is Torch Songs, Tequila, and Time. Plus a lovely rendition of Cow Cow Boogie. Take us back C-C !

Blown Away by C.C. Grace!
What a brilliant, fresh new album! C.C. Grace is a versatile artist with a memorable sound. She draws from the classics we love while maintaining an individuality that is hard to come by nowadays. I particularly love the smooth quality of her voice, and her ability to effortlessly hop between notes. Love the choice of using organ in a folk/country album, too! Each song brings something new to the table, but they tie together nicely and maintain a unified C.C. Grace "vibe." People need to listen to this ASAP!

Lovely and Poignant
C.C Grace's singing and voice is lovely and poignant. This CD is exquisite. I love the song Fortunate Woman. It speaks for my heart. South by Southwest is haunting, as are many of these songs. Honky Tonk Man is heartbreaking.
What beautiful, soulful, heartfelt music.

Gorgeous, sexy country
I LOVE this album. So many great songs -- should be classics, like "No Excuse for You," the anthem for everyone who has been done wrong, and "Fortunate Woman," for those who believe in true love! Highly recommended.
