There's a lot of blue in this album: a character named Blue, a spririt journey into the blue energy vortex, the devastating search for that old blue-black coal, and the story of a small tribe of Kentucky folk whose skin is blue.

Hodari Fenderson on guitar provides another thread of blue along with jazz, rock, and magical stuff he just made up. And songwriter and bassist John Minkle is, as ever, the Rock of Rockabetty.
