Album Notes
CD Collins is one of the originators of the resurgence of spoken-word with music. She is a front line, toe-to-toe artist, defender of women, children and the natural world.

Russian-born, blind, autistic musical savant and Berklee-graduate Santon has perfect pitch, phenomenal memory, and plays piano and violin by ear. He has accompanied Natalie Merchant, Livingston Taylor and Bob Weir.

Together, CD and Santon fashion a seductive palette of bluegrass, blues, jazz, tango and classical to create a stunning conversation. CD's mesmerizing vocals chronicle events that occur at night, undercover, unobserved. She will transport you to the deepest heart of Appalachia: its troubles, unforgettable characters and ineffable beauty.

The collaboration of two people with different cultural backgrounds, age and overall abilities shows the audience that talent can be present in anyone, and that the language of art sees no limitations, and has no barriers.

The unique combination of talents and multicultural nature of the duet provide an expansive contribution to the genre of spoken- word with music.
