ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
It is acknowledged among bluegrass fans around the world that one man, Mr. William Smith Monroe from Rosine, Ky., is the undisputed "Father of Bluegrass" music. He often spoke of "ancient tones" as he called them in his head. Over the course of years, he brought these tones to life and allowed the sound to evolve as he was influenced by the many great musicians he was associated with. He single-handedly presented the world with Bluegrass Music as we know it today.
This song written by a friend of mine, Ms. Kelly Hand from the Missouri Ozarks was inspired to put her thoughts on paper as she sat in the trance of a campfire on a moonlit night listening to those "ancient tones" being played in the night air by old, young, city dweller and Country folks alike. Few things bring people together like the emotions of music, and nothing quite captures the emotions of our American heritage like Bluegrass Music. Thank You, Mr. Monroe.
