Album Notes
This is a very special and unusual Christmas album. If you are looking for the common carols sung by a church choir, then I must direct you to the close-out bins at your local music store. But if your taste runs toward original, clean, unadulterated Americana, you have an open mind and heart, and you love the Christmas/Hanukah/Solstice seasonal music then "Every Day Christmas" is for you.
I'm a great lover of songs and Christmas songs in particular. The songs recorded on this album are dear to my heart. These selections are offerings oft repeated at the annual celebration we call "Every Day Christmas" here in Nacogdoches, Texas. The production of the CD has truly been a community effort and a grassroots sound comes through in the music.
I hope that you enjoy listening to "Every Day Christmas" as much as I enjoyed recording it. And remember, it's not just for that those days between Thanksgiving and December 25th. It's for Every Day of the year! Merry Christmas!

Refreshing change from traditional Christmas music. Contemplative and thought pr
This CD is something I could listen to any time of the year. Has a real down to earth quality as well being spiritual. Great to have a new kind of Christmas music especially with such a varied mixture of songs. The lyrics are very thought provoking and the vocals are wonderful. I would recomend this CD to anyone who likes non-traditional and yet soulful music for the holidays or anytime of year.

A gift that keeps on giving!
The songs on this CD range from heartfelt to heart warming to lighthearted. This is a CD that will put a smile on your face, a spring in your step, peace in your mind, and joy in your heart . . . every single day of the year. What a great Christmas gift for us all -- a gift that keeps on giving all year long!

Everyday Christmas is, above all, a relief!
Singer Cele and producer John Weigel, along with a cast of local talent in Nacogdoches, Texas, have done a bang-up job of creating a vivid aural experience- one designed to bring us back to the rewarding, true essence of the Christmas holiday. This is a real folk offering, with performances ranging from the spiritually inspired opening number, "Sanctuary", to the wisened-but-not-too-jaded "Christmas in Washington", to the upbeat "Marvelous Toy"- about the passing along of a tradition of joy and delight to the next generation.

This album makes for a great ambience- the feel is soulful and bright, the vibe is intimate and the sounds are friendly, earnest and engaging. And the mix sounds as if this happy gathering could be going down right in your own living room. Everyday Christmas is one of those unexpected, delightful and natural moments that are as comfortable in March as in December.

A real community effort by REAL talent
Cele Knight and friends have put together a masterpiece of Christmas/holiday-type music. When Cele says that this record is a "community effort," she ain't kidding! The credits to this album read like a laundry list of local talent. Just about every Nacogdoches-area musician and artist contributed to this album in some way or another. The songs are brilliant, as well. Whether covering artists such as Bruce Cockburn or Tom Paxton, or playing original material, the songs all sound like labors of love, very heart-felt. Memorable tracks include "Christmas in Prison" and a superb cover of Dar Williams' "The Christians and the Pagans." Some of the recognizable names who appear on this album include artist/musician Charles Jones; folksinger Miki Lynn; John "Nacogdoches Red" Hazlewood of the Remains and famous local poet and professor Cyd Adams, among many others.

Every day Christmas
I've known Cele since we were in college at the University of Alabama and she's always sung like a bird. Thanks to her we can find the true essence of Christmas!
