Album Notes
The Lie of the Land is the first new album by Celtic Legacy since 2008's 'Guardian of Eternity'. Over 3 years in production, the album returns to the early Celtic Legacy sound of the first 2 albums, but with contemporary lyrical themes replacing the legends of yore.

The CD version of the album has been on release since November 2014. However, the band has elected to limit the number of CDs to only 250. If you want a copy of the CD, you can order one directly from the band's website.

The very first review of the album had this to say:

Ray Dorsey - The Chaos Realm
CELTIC LEGACY - "The Lie Of The Land" ('14) - I simply cannot recommend this new 3rd [sic] album by Ireland's CELTIC LEGACY enough. If u love traditional metal and hard rock like Riot, Priest, Thin Lizzy, etc. u would be hard-pressed to find a better album than this released in 2014. The songs are heavy yet laced with gorgeous melody. The vocals are powerful, clear and commanding & the guitar work (here's where I take a break from professional reviewer mode for a hot second ) motherfucking kick ass. Top it all off with thought-provoking lyrics & riveting production and you have an album that doesn't stand at the head of the class, it teaches it. Buy now.

When compiling the list of best albums of 2014, this is how the Chaos Realm rated The Lie of the Land against other releases during the year.

1) CELTIC LEGACY - The Lie Of The Land
2) KIX - Rock Your Face Off
3) RIOT - Unleash The Fire
4) NAZARETH - Rock 'N' Roll Telephone
5) JUDAS PRIEST - Redeemer Of Souls
6) RESISTOR - To The Stars
7) MY VICTIM - My Victim
8) WISHBONE ASH - Blue Horizon
9) POINT BLANK - Volume 9
