Album Notes
\"Angels over Avalon and Aztlan\" is Ray\'s latest project, Songs are written in English and Spanish all in a World Rock Latin Flavor. This CD features, Jose \"Chepito\" Areas, of Woodstock fame, the original Timbales/Percussionist and co-songwriter with Carlos Santana. His trademark Timbale rolls can be heard throughout the tracks. Also featured is the famous singer/songwriter, Buzzy Linhart of New York, who played Vibes on Jimi Hendrix\' \"Drifting\" from \"The Cry of Love\" and whose hit song \"Friends\" has been recorded by Bette Midler and Barry Manilow. Buzzy plays a great vibes solo on the track by Sugar Loaf called \"Green Eyed Lady\". The horn arrangments and Horns are done by Mike Rinta who is currently playing with Sly Stone. Ray Cepeda sings lead and plays electric guitar and the Cuban tres on this CD. The Cuban tres is that sweet sound that sounds like, Arsenio Rodriguez, Papi Oviedo or Nino Rivera. Check it out, Nine Songs of solid Latin Rock. Ray Cepeda is an Independent Solo Male Latin Artist, Promoting World Peace via his Music and Art.
