ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
C.H.A.L.K. (Craving Himself Another Lovely Kill) was formed in 1996 by Philip Chinea,Sence Torres,KaL MichaeL,and David de la Fe (Freak). Shortly after recording their first EP and the departure of drummer Sence Torres, the band was joined by drummer Ivan Gehrig and recorded "Greatest sHits" in 1997. C.H.A.L.K.'s sound, rooted in hard/heavy rock, with elements of funk and other influences, is driven by an energetic, busy rhythm section where slap-happy bass lines and aggressive drumming parallel each other to create an intense, tight backdrop accented by metal-influenced guitar and completed with vocals that range from melodic to powerful growls and screams. In the mid to late 90's C.H.A.L.K. developed a sizable local fan base, and became known for their live performances at the Rose's venue in Miami Beach. After the departure of their second drummer (Ivan Gehrig), The band eventually broke up with the remaining members going on to do other projects. In 2007 (more than 10 years after the forming of C.H.A.L.K.) all 4 original members rejoined for a reunion show at Churchill's. The band is currently working on yet another CD and getting prepared to play some more great shows in 2008.
