Album Notes
Campagne Charlie is a blues and roots band from the Dutch Delta. The six piece band from Zeeland specializes in pre war country blues, jug band and other guitar based music. It was formed in 1988. Champagne Charlie uses a great variety of stringed instruments, all of which play an important role in the bands rich repertoire and distinguished sound. On this album the attention is focused on the life style of America's hoboes who traveled the country on freight trains.This CD offers a musical journey through the wide American landscape featuring songs, both known and unknown, that cover the twentieth century.
