Album Notes

Chance Wilder Onody releases his powerful, incredibly unique, history making single “Crimson Wings” from the EP “Dream”.

“Crimson Wings” is the extraordinary follow up to Chance’s successful and ground breaking rendition of “Feeling Good” which made its way across the USA and around the world to rave reviews, available on CD Baby, iTunes and Amazon.

Chance Wilder Onody has done it again with “Crimson Wings” and changed the perception of what a bass can do. Chance's new single is a high energy rock symphony performed solely on bass by Chance, with incredible drum and percussion performances by Doane Perry. When you listen to the full orchestration and rock band sound, you will not believe it is just two musicians. Chance’s innovative arrangement for bass is outstanding and the performances are brilliant!

To truly appreciate Chance’s achievement on “Crimson Wings” look at the liner notes. Chance performed the entire orchestration and rock band parts on just five different basses. Every performance is Chance playing organically, true to his vision of pure musicianship, there are no samples or midi used for instrumentation. Chance has created an entirely "New" experience in music with his historic “Crimson Wings”.

Chance is definitely "one of a kind", he is forward thinking, innovative and passionate about music. He loves pushing musical boundaries merging musical genres. The bass is his voice and Chance strives to do what has never been done before in order to create an all-encompassing and immersive experience of his music. Chance Wilder Onody is an important artist in this regard, he is putting musicianship upfront and is on the cutting edge of creating "New" music and making musical history in the process. No one has done this before!

Chance built the entire song on a driving bass line, whether this is your type of music or not it is definitely worth listening to! First enjoy the experience of the music, then remind yourself that is not an entire orchestra with strings and horns it is just one man on bass, it is not a rock band with blazing guitars it is one musician on bass, joined by a great drummer, creating a dynamic and memorable recording. Then it sinks in the true scope and genius of what this young musician has achieved.
