ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Charlie Limm is an Actor, Musician, Composer and Theatre Maker who has been performing since an early age. Her passion for the Arts began in Somerset in a tiny village called Stoke St. Gregory where she was born and raised, as part of her local theatre group.

Since graduating from Royal Holloway University in Drama and Theatre in 2011, Charlie began her working life in London as a Christmas Elf at Hamleys Toyshop and met her colleague and good friend Emma Ewins with whom she joined to make music as part of the folk duo Patchwork Skies. Charlie is an accomplished singer, guitarist and Grade 8 Flautist and has been performing in the duo for 6 years. They have performed at various prestigious venues around London such as The Troubadour, Acklam Village, The Bedford and Battersea Arts Centre and festivals around the country, most notably Bromsgrove Folk Festival where they return this summer. Their song 'Through the Dark' also featured on BBC Radio Introducing Norfolk.

When performing solo, Charlie arranges acoustic folk songs with just voice and guitar, playing mostly her originals with some folksy covers thrown in. In 2017, she supported the band Apples I'm Home on their UK tour and debut album launch, performing throughout the country en route to the Edinburgh Fringe and now continues to play live as much as possible. Charlie also recently appeared live on the BSR Folk & Roots Radio Show in Bristol and Glastonbury FM.

Charlie is also an Actor and Composer; since assisting the Musical Director of Shakespeare's Globe in 2016, she has also been working with various theatre companies, most recently with Interplay Theatre in Leeds on an immersive actor/musician production of Tarzanne and composing music for the company Scripts for Supper.
