Chencho Rivera, cuatrista y bajista. hizo sus estudios en 1973 Berklee College of Music, en Boston, y en 1980 se gradua de Brooklyn College en NY. Como bajista principal de las orquestas mas grande de la epoca del mambo y la salsa gorda toco y viajo el mundo con Perez Prado, Tito Rogdriguez, Ray Barreto, Willie Colón, Candido y Lito Peña y la Orquesta Panamerican entre otros. Este CD recoge la musica del compositor puertorriqueno Placido Acevedo (Aguadilla), Este CD hace tribute a nuestra musica con cada pieza como la pieza "Agarrate de la Brocha" donde se puede oir la inflencia de Ismael Rivera. Chencho demuestra su gran talento, amor por la muisca y por su tierra - Puerto Rico.

Chencho's musical journey begins in the 60's as the lead bass player of some of the greatest orchestras in Latin music such as Perez Prado, Tito Rodriguez, Willie Colon, Ray Barretto, Lito Pena and the Panamerican Orchestra. In 1973 Chencho enters Berklee College of Music in Boston and where he majors in jazz and composition and completes his studies at Brooklyn College, in NY. This CD is testimony to his musical talent and love for his country - Puerto Rico
