Album Notes
In the summer of 2017, British music journalist Robert Cochrane discovered the New York City folk group Children of Rain 51 years after their only 45 rpm single, “Get Together,” was released on Dot Records, in 1966. Cochrane came across an obscure acetate by the group (Pam Meacham, Alan Ross, Denis Meacham) and penned a compelling article for, saying, “Had they fared better at the hands of time, they would now undoubtedly be revered as innovators.” The review inspired the group to issue an album of previously unreleased material plus their Dot single. For more on the Children of Rain go to: and Wikipedia. The cut "Lay Down Your Wings" features the famous resonant voice of the late radio star Jim Ameche.
