Community Albums is a UK based charity that aims to build better communities through music and media.

In May 2010 Community Albums took a mobile media studio to the Children at Risk Action Network in Kampala, Uganda, and delivered training in how to use it. They left the studio in the capable hands of the CRANE team, who use it to give communities a voice, build confidence, increase self esteem, and develop local talent. The team are also running several collaborative projects between communities in Uganda and the UK.

The song is a product of a workshop that looked at stories the children of Uganda wanted to tell. It was presented along with a short film and petition to the Ugandan Parliament. The Right Honourable Edward Sekandi, speaker of the house, said that the children were, “..not only speaking for themselves, but for all the voiceless in Uganda”

We hope you enjoy the track, and thank you for your support.
