Album Notes
Chimestone’s debut release “Just For Grins” was the first independent release recorded at Seattle’s legendary Bad Animals studio to sell more than 8,000 copies without promotion from a major label.

Marco Collins (The Glamour & The Squalor), then a DJ at Seattle’s KNDD (107.7 FM), also known as "107.7 The End", was the first to play Chimestone’s music. The single “Stolen View” debuted on the Sunday evening radio show “The Young and The Restless” and received immediate attention, thus getting into rotation on Collins’ show. Known for their high-energy live performances, they were chosen by The Seattle Times as one of the city’s most promising and talented new musical acts.

With the advent of digital music distribution, the band decided to release “Just For Grins” on outlets CD Baby and iTunes. They were stunned when within months the band had hundreds of downloads with virtually no promotion. This prompted the band to upload their songs on Facebook, opening their music to an entirely new generation of fans and a resurgence with their previous fan base. The amazing response prompted the band to re-form and begin playing occasional live performances, now focused on charitable foundations.

In 2014, they took part in a benefit to raise funds to repair the legendary NEVE Recording Console at London Bridge Studios in Seattle. Chimestone was honored to be the last band to record on the console before it underwent restoration, and released their single “Auggie’s Lament”, produced by Jonathan Plum and the band.

Chimestone is currently writing and recording demos for an upcoming EP scheduled for release in 2017.

Surprise surprise
Hey I saw you guys on Myspace so thought I'd check it out. Great songs but honestly a little overproduced for my tastes. Really nice voice singing and a good band to boot. Hello from Indiana and keep making music, more than 6 songs would be nice.

wooo hooo
I didn't know these guys were still playing :-) I saw them a bunch of times at the U sports bar in Seattle. These guys are a really good band. I don't see any live dates on their myspace page. I hope to soon. More songs guys!!

I love Chimestone!!!
This album is the BEST and they are really nice guys as well...amazing music you just have to CRANK IT UP and rock out...I think WASTIN TIME is the best song ever and these guys are going to be so it now!!!

I can't believe I found this, I remember this group back from the OK Hotel days I think or somewhere like it. Fun band and really really good songs I love it. Thank you for listening.

Why are these guys not huge
Your songs are top notch and recorded outstanding. I am amazed that your band is not all over the place. Keep up the great work and best of luck.

A Fan in Portland
So you guys really need to play in Portland, that would be grand. Or I guess I may make it up to the Emerald City to take in a show. Either way thank you for the beautiful music, your singer Jake is a shining star, great morning music!

marc aka king marc

what the hey hey
my only complaint is the album title is silly but the music is 100% all the way great...i cannot understand why you pick up a Stranger or Weekly and these guys never play or are mentioned...maybe just a studio project either way amazing tunes and you have a fan for life plus love your album art it looks like my dog rest his guys are full on, so great record and keep the music coming.

This is a must buy and listen
I found this just browsing Myspace and am blown away by the energy of this band. It looks like this is the only thing out by them? Glad to see at least 6 tracks there are only 4 on Myspace. Well anyway I recommend it highly, it sounds like a better production than most out there today!!! Please anyone who reads this post anything else that Chimestone has done thanks for your help.

Very Good
I enjoy the songs, and the production is as good or better than most stuff out there today. Overall very good and impressive. Hello from Denmark.

Very Good Work Here
Some of the songs and singing sound a little bit from the 90s but what I can't figure out is why this band is not more famous. They have great catchy songs you can sing with and the music is full of power and good hooks that make you want to listen more. I like the Myspace page also but there is no information about any shows anywhere on the web. If you know of any please let me know or post please.
