ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“Black and Gold Christmas” is a song that celebrates the holidays amidst lyrics sure to stoke nostalgia among fellow “yinzers.” The chorus proclaims “There’s nothing like a black and gold Christmas” and the verses conjure up imagery of countless Pittsburgh symbols ranging from bridges to Mr. Rogers, Primanti sandwiches and more!

The recording features the Charge Ups' signature father-daughter vocal tradeoffs of Chip & Maleena Dominick, plus a wide range of guest vocalists from the Pittsburgh area. The guest vocalists include Liz Berlin (of triple-platinum recording artist, Rusted Root), Doug Carnahan (of After The Fall, voted “Best Rock Band” in the Iron City Rocks Pittsburgh Music Awards for the past five years), Jen Craven (of emerging metal band, A Common Crown), and powerhouse gospel vocalist, Char Fields.
