ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Part of the beauty of Christianity and our God is that no matter our sin - no matter our transgressions - we can be saved. We wanted to share our experiences with salvation from our own flawed human perspective: being in sin, recognizing a change is needed, and deciding to turn to the Lord. Hence, Redemption.

We believe it is important to recognize all aspects of the human condition - from the ugly pains of depression to the ultimate peace attained only through Jesus Christ. Despite the title and theme of the album, our job isn’t over once we have been redeemed. It can be a battle to continue choosing to turn to God and stay with Him in both the good times and the bad, but we are called to do so as followers of the Lord.

We consciously chose the songs in Redemption to fit the following story arc and to share our experiences with salvation. Redemption follows a story arc of:

→ Brokenness/Sin (State I’m In, Bone + Tissue)
→ Desperation (True Sadness, Desolation)
→ Recognition (Sticks & Stones, Yet)
→ Redemption (Born Again, Hallelujah! What a Savior)
→ What Now? (Deep Water, Psalm 42, It Is Well)

We hope that by listening to this album, you will attain a new (or renewed) understanding of the beautiful, redemptive power of Christ’s love.
