Album Notes
There's nothing Charles Mills loves more than a good story, well told. In WINGS OF ADVENTURE, he offers both again and again.

Charles grew up in the foreign mission field, following his parents from country to country throughout the Far and Middle East, learning first-hand many cultures and the beautiful diversity of God's family. Even while attending Southern Missionary College in Collegedale, Tennessee, the mission bug sent him to Japan as a student missionary.

After graduation with a BA in Communications, Mills joined the film crew of Faith for Today and helped create Westbrook Hospital television programs popular in the 1970s. After serving as manager of a Christian radio station in Angwin, California, Charles worked as a flight instructor and schoolteacher. For the past 23 years, he and his wife Dorinda have operated CHRISTIAN COMMUNICATIONS, a media production company based in West Virginia.

"If you want to catch the attention of a child," Mills says, "if you want to teach him or her something important, tell a story."

Charles has told many stories to children, including the best-selling book series Shadow Creek Ranch, the Voyager trilogy, and his most recent release, Jackrabbit Safari. He has also impacted the lives of thousands of adult readers with Echoing God's Love and The Master's Touch.

Mills says that WINGS OF ADVENTURE is partial payback to the storytellers who influenced his life. "It's also my way of sharing, in a very dramatic and direct way, my deep love for Jesus."

When not standing before a microphone or sitting at a computer, Charles enjoys bird watching, photography, visiting the wild ponies of Chincoteague, Virginia, and making music on his Korg keyboard.

Wonderful Addition
Our family has long been a fan of story tapes for the car rides that take us both around town and farther. This is a wonderful addition to that library.

Funny and Interesting

Stand for What is Right
I especially liked the story "Law Number Nine" because the boy stood up for what he knew was right even though it was hard.

Gets the Point
I like the way the lessons are drawn for the listener to help make sure the child really gets the point.
