Album Notes
No artist worth his/her artistic salt wants to stand still. The creative muse is restless and unpredictable; you just have to be open to it and let it guide you. Sometimes that journey can take an artist through doors they never imagined they would pass through. If the soul is searching and the spirit unfettered by the confines of expectation or familiarity then the imagination will be open to new, exciting and challenging possibilities.

Sandy Chochinov is one such artist who remains committed to stretching his own boundaries, challenging expectations and exploring new vistas. I never know quite what to expect with each album and yet am always pleasantly surprised and delighted by what I discover within. On Stop, Talk, Look and Listen Sandy has found his voice and with it a uniquely personal expression of sincerity, truth and authenticity.

Clearing Stop, Talk, Look and Listen is an album driven by the need to ask the big questions about life. We all hit a certain age where we wonder about the big picture and how we fit in. It’s a process of questioning and searching. It’s also about life’s journey and the need to pause, reflect and appreciate. That mindset informs many of the songs on Stop, Talk, Look and Listen. It’s an album that looks both backward and forward; the fourteen tracks are at once familiar and new. The simplicity of the arrangements and instrumentation belies a deeper subtext to the lyrical content.

The best music and the most creative artists challenge your preconceptions and expectations. Stop, Talk, Look and Listen is a personal statement of reflection, longing, speculation and celebration from a restless spirit ever searching.
John Einarson

I must be out of my mind to do an album of songs which I wrote, because I have never sung before on an album, or for that matter in a band. I have always written songs with words but I have always gotten the so called singers to sing my songs.

For the last seven years I have only done albums of instrumental music. The music has always been influenced by Musicians like Frank Zappa, Brian Eno, Weather Report etc. etc etc....... Now it's more like Neil Young, Dylan, Lennon and all the singers and songwriters I love and have been influenced by.

Why would I take such a major left turn?

Well! I have lost my mind!

Just kidding.

All kidding aside I love writing song songs. I was tired of trying to always find someone else to sing my songs. I know I took a gamble. But what the h#%^&

What I can say is these songs are from the bottom of my heart. Whether you like my singing or not, the emotion is in your face. So here I am with all my flaws and blemishes showing. Giving you my own two cents. Dig it.

I would like to thank,

Leonard Shaw for doing the backup vocals and his backup vocal arrangements.

Barry Chochinov for his cd layout and photography.

Gary Taylor for the cover art.

Ironstone for cd and cover duplication
