ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Choro Tree is the third in a series of albums of never-recorded choro compositions by us and our friends. The first album of this series, Boas Novas (2013), and the second, Boca de Goiaba(2014) have been received enthusiastically by lovers of choro everywhere.

Choro Tree includes international guests Ted Falcon (USA) and Ilya Portnov (Russia), which demonstrates that choro is crossing borders and conquering hearts all over the world. We think of each of the eighteen musicians on Choro Tree as a branch attached
to the trunk of the choro tradition and spreading its fruits around the world.
