Album Notes
I played all the instruments and sang all the vocals. Mixed it at Julies Room and had it mastered by Sage Audio in Nashville, Tn.
Hope you enjoy "Turn On The Radio". I would figure that most on the songs and tunes are public domain except, *Fire On The Median Strip*, *Fog Town Strut* and *Little Flower Waltz*. I wrote those.
1. Fire On The Median Strip ~ A very descriptive title of a scene on Hwy 80
2. Fly Around My Pretty Little Miss ~ A unique version by Frank Blevins and his Tar Heel Rattlers
3. Sal's Got Mud Between Her Toes ~ Great title, great tune!
4. New Shady Grove ~ Another version of a classic.
5. Fog Town Strut ~ This one came to me one day and I had to record it so I wouldn't forget it.
6. Hickory Jack ~ A tune by Luther Strong.
7. Jake Walk Blues ~ The Allen Brothers recorded this sometime in the 1930's.
8. Little Flower Waltz ~ A lovely little waltz that I made up some time ago.
9. The Girl I left In Sunny Tenn. ~ By Charlie Poole and the North Carolina Ramblers.
10. Last Of Sizemore ~ Another one by Luther Strong.
11. Sales Tax On The Women ~ From the Recordings of the Dixon Brothers. 1930's
12. Old Horse And Buggy-O ~ From the fiddling of Art Stamper.
13. Another Shady Grove ~ The title describes it!
14. Little Mound Of Clay ~ Recorded by George Edgin's Corn Dodgers in 1933.
15. Black Hills Waltz ~ Reminiscent of a Cajun Waltz, I first heard this done by Skip Gorman of the Deseret String Band.
16. The Hog Went Through The Fence Yoke and All ~ Another one from Luther Strong
