Album Notes
This release marks the ten year anniversary of Getaway Plans, Chris Cates's last album recorded in Athens, Georgia with his legendary touring band Parakeet Nelson which featured John Wayne Tuggle, Dwayne Wallace, Dave Brockway, John Kell and world famous violinist Andrej Kurti.

Four new songs recorded during some of the sessions are included on this Anniversary Remix and the song order for the album has been changed as well. Cates paints a lyrical landscape of trying to keep a love alive that's near its end, life on the road and big life changes. Although the music is a bit more country/americana sounding than usual, Cates' trademark dense and very musical instrumentation still prevails along with his love for acoustic and electric music.
