Album Notes
The funk-infused, eagerly-awaited new acoustic release from saxophone visionary Chris Greene.

"The album title of the year, so far, and it's also Greene's most enjoyable effort yet. The quartet is as cohesive as they were on Volume One, and the soloing is more striking, with Greene in particular pulling out strings of melody as if he were a magician tugging on one of those endless hankerchiefs." - Wilson & Alroy's Record Reviews (

"Greene has some set of chops...Keep an eye on this kid..." -

"The set's got a lot more depth than you might expect, and is definitely the sort that should have bigger jazz labels seeking out Greene's talents."

nice work
Chris can definitely play, and he has a big sound. For me, the band sounds best on straight ahead stuff, or tunes where there is a groove that holds it all together. They also play a few tunes where the head or arrangement is a bit more demanding, I found the band less convincing on those. But that's the way people have to stretch themselves, so it'd good with me.
