Album Notes
A masterful singer and songwriter who has quietly gone about his business. Where Fantasy Flies is a second album for Chris. True to his acoustic roots, the album has gentle hints of Celtic ballad sewn into its fabric. The warmth of Chris’ voice and measured guitar playing are accompanied by a small, but balanced set of instruments that have graced many Celtic treasures.
The stories behind each track are available on Chris’ website.
Kick your shoes off to this one – if the melodies don’t get you, the words will, but the wise ones will enjoy the balance and poise of both.
Born to Irish parents, traditional Irish ballads were an early influence on Chris. Later, major players such as the Stones and The Beatles also played their part, but in more recent years, Chris has been drawn back to a blend of contemporary and traditional Celtic influences. Artists including Christy Moore, Cara and Mary Dillon, Ralph McTell and Kate Rusby are held in very high regard by Chris.
