Album Notes
As a lifelong lover of music and literature, songwriting provides Chrissy Johnson with the best of both worlds. In her adolescence you could hear the Indigo Girls, James Taylor, Peter Gabriel and Sting playing on repeat from the little boombox in her bedroom. Today she is inspired by songwriters such as Patty Griffin, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Tift Merritt, May Erlewine, Pieta Brown, Lucie Thorne, The Pines, Aoife O'Donovan, Caitlin Canty, Jill Andrews, Gregory Alan Isakov, Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell, Lord Huron, The Lone Bellow, Lucinda Williams, Amos Lee, Dar Williams, Ani DiFranco, Kathleen Edwards, Paul Simon, Ryan Adams, Shawn Colvin, Tom Petty, Van Morrison, Nathaniel Rateliff, Ray LaMontagne, Steve Dawson and many others. This album was recorded, produced, arranged and mixed by Steve Dawson at Kernel Sound Emporium in Chicago, IL.
