ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Christina Georgiou is a versatile artist, composing in a variety of styles.
Daniel Bickermann, in a review of the short film "Styx", for which Christina received the Best Soundtrack Award at the Monaco International Film Festival 2008, writes: " Christina Georgiou’s multi-layered music... goes all the way from medieval madrigal to post-modern electro rhythms without ever forgetting the main romantic subject or veering into cheap imitations." (Excerpts of the soundtrack are available in the album "Christina Georgiou: Music for Film and Theatre, Vol. I).
More recently, Christina was nominated for the Best Composer Award of the National Theatre 2014 for the music of the stage play "Love Lies", excerpts of which are available on this album. Christina is a Member of the European Film Academy since 2012, and works as a freelance composer, sound designer and screenwriter, collaborating with film-makers from around the globe.
