Album Notes
In 2017 I brought my singing bowls to The TANK in Rangely, Colorado. This is a 65-foot tall empty water tank that has become a recording mecca for sound artists. The experience was unique and wonderful: because sound is amplified and resonates throughout the structure, the already cosmic sounds of the crystal singing bowls are magnified, bathing the listener in an ocean of vibration! My intention in making this album is to use the power of sound vibration to help you create the shifts you need in your life. Thank you for listening! Note: track pricing reflects the different lengths of each track. Enjoy!
Below are the compositions I recorded in The TANK:

1- Inner Landscape: I improvised this composition in the TANK. This piece is about dreaming: the bowls sing out possibilities...the voice encourages and inspires you to follow your dreams. Live the life of the sublime being that you are!

2- Byssan Lull, Koka Kittelen Full: This is a traditional Swedish lullaby; the song tells of three wanderers, three stars, three winds, three ships and three treasures (faith, hope and love).

3-Places: As I created this piece in the TANK, I imagined places I seemed to have encountered before. Listen- do you recognize the places evoked by these sounds? Have you been there? Places from the distant past call to you: Do you remember?

4-Challenges- Improvising on the bowls in the TANK, I experienced some difficult emotions; the bowls helped me express and work through them. These sounds nudge you to make the shift you need to make. They challenge you- and they're not letting you off the hook! Rise to the challenge and align yourself with what you are meant to be.

5-Columba Aspexit – Selections from a 12th century chant by Hildegard von Bingen, “Sequentia de Sancto Maximino”. Hildegard uses rich imagery and metaphor to describe Saint Maximinus, patron saint of the Benedictine abbey in Trier, Germany, as he leads a Mass.

6-Silent Night/Amazing Grace- Peace be with you.

In a Word, WOW
I had heard of The Tank in Rangely and how much musicians love playing and recording there--after listening to Christina Hildebrandt's new release, Inner Vision, now I know why. I've had the distinct pleasure and honor of listening to Christina live with her crystal singing bowls and her accompanying vocals in a couple of intimate settings, so was really looking forward to hearing her on a recording. This recording adds another delicious acoustic layer to the already incredible tones of the bowls, bringing additional depth and resonance to these mind/body/soul-permeating vibrations. The physical spaciousness of The Tank creates natural reverberations that richly enhance Christina's instrumentation and execution of it, as well as her singing. Far-reaching, vast, hauntingly beautiful, profound all immediately come to mind to describe the experience of listening to Inner Vision. Also, my cat was absolutely transfixed!

Likewise, the cover art for Inner Vision, created by Christina's husband is as exquisitely breathtaking as the tracks on this release. Two favorites that included Christina's vocals are the Swedish lullaby Byssan Lull and the selections from Columba Aspexit, a chant by Hildegard von Bingen, the latter a personal favorite and so a real treat to see included on this release. Masterfully recorded and engineered. Highly recommend for those who love the bowls!
