Mosquito in a Tree

by Christopher Gunter

Every song on this debut record from the New York singer/songwriter is driven by smart, personal lyrics and crisp acoustic guitars. It does not disappoint.

Album Notes
Christopher Gunter has been writing songs since he first picked up a guitar at the age of 18. A high school English teacher, he had his musical debut playing for his classes. Encouraged by his students, Christopher continued to refine his sound, and five years later, recorded his first album.

Christopher’s vocal style has been showcased on the coffeehouse circuit around Rochester, NY, for the past several years. His first CD, Mosquito in a Tree, is characterized by lyrical depth and a wide emotional range, with nuances that emerge with each successive listen.

Great Album!
When I heard that Christopher Gunter was putting out an album (finally!), I told everyone I knew. Every song is an absolute banger. Pretty laidback music overall, but every range of emotion is covered. So it's great chill music, and good makeout music. The only time I wouldn't listen to it is before a fight. Just being honest.

"Try I May" is one of the best songs I've heard in a while. "Alright Sometimes" is a nice leadoff track, and every song hits through the very calm closing song, "Peace Like Home." I think my favorite here is "Finest Days."

Excellent CD. Buy it now AND when it comes on iTunes.
