Album Notes
As the title implys the central theme of this album is the great outdoors – the land, the people, and the outdoor lifestyle that we love so much (In Montana as well as everywhere we go to experience it firsthand). The music is rich with acoustic guitars, natural percussion, and vocal harmony.

All of the nine songs on this album are focused on highlighting aspects of Montana and the outdoor experience that we enjoy and love so much (the wildlife & wildlands, Glacier & Yellowstone National Parks, the magnificent mountains, etc.). The title track “In Montana” was intended to serve as an uplifting and inspiring state theme song; “The River Bitterroot” describes those water’s inspiring effect; “Your Montana Home” is both a gentle lullaby and a soulful requiem (to welcome our babies to their new home, and to send our departed off to sleep); “Grandfather of the Wilderlands” is a tribute to the wisdom of the mountain folks; “Campfire”, “Fresh Mountain Air”, “On A Windy Winter Night”… all of the pieces reflect some aspect of the out-of-doors experience. All songs on this album incorporate a high degree of ecological conservationism, and promote and encourage a deep respect for the wilder-lands and the wilder-life.
