Album Notes
This album is the first in a new collection of music by Christy Jefferson called 'Rain Songs'. With 6 other albums under her belt that all feature Christy's vocals -- including a Christmas Album, a newly released Rock Album co-produced by Shelly Yakus (U2, John Lennon, Stevie Nix, etc.), and 4 other CDs that feature her own original hybrid of rock / folk / pop / blues / cabaret -- this is the first time that Christy has created a work that is instrumental in nature.

While there are only 2 tracks on the album, total length of the CD is 45 minutes. The first song, "Shaza", is a theme and variation of several piano melodies running 30 minutes total, featuring piano, strings, and rain. The second track, "Electra", runs 15 minutes with a predominantly Eastern feel; it incorporates trance like movements between various drum rhythms and synthesized strings with the coming and going of melodies on a variety of instruments and rain intermittently.
