Album Notes

Chuck Furtado is an accomplished and versatile musician whose recently released his 6th single, "Moving on-reprise”,can be found on iTunes. The singer/songwriter began playing bass guitar at the young age of 12, teaching himself by ear and practicing songs from the radio and old records. Some of his inspiration stems from timeless bands such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Oasis, Bob Dillion,The who, just to name a few,as he is able to “identify with their sound and songwriting capabilities.”

Born and raised in a small town just south of Boston, Massachusetts, Chuck formed his first band, Monterey, at the age of 13. The group, who played many cover songs as well as original material, played at various clubs, events and private functions throughout their teenage years. "It was a great experience. I remember how much we took pride and enjoyed the creativity of our own music," he recalls. When Chuck was 19, he decided to leave the band and enroll in college to pursue a career in finance.

After a long and successful business career, Chuck’s intrinsic passion for music had once again influenced his decision to continue singing and songwriting. Subsequently, he released his first original single titled "Tomorrow Isn't Yesterday” at the end of 2015, and was awarded runner-up in the International Song of the Year Competition. Driving forward, fueled by his rock roots, Chuck is looking forward to releasing new material that will influence others just as his early musical influences inspired him.
