Album Notes
Chuck Holden is an international jazz vocalist who has performed on the east coast from Connecticut to North Carolina, including New York City, Philadelphia; also, Tel Aviv, Israel and more recently, headlined the Jazz Festival at the Ritz-Carlton in the Grand Cayman Island and Cancun, Mexico; the East Coast Jazz Festival and most of the well know jazz festivals and venues n the Baltimore and Washington area. In August 2008, Chuck receive the Tiger Award in Performing Arts from his high school. Chuck performed the Congressional Chorus in Washington, DC for five years and is the Music Director for a group of Senior Citizens in Silver Spring, MD.
Chuck received a Certificate of Recognition from the Mayor of Baltimore as well as an Official Citation, and a Resolution from other legislators from the City of Baltimore for his outstanding contributions to the Eubie Blake Scholarship Fund and was nicknamed a "Maryland Jazz Ambassador.
Chuck is excited about the release of his CD "First Tune" and proceeds from all of the sales will be donated to the Life Connection Mission in Haiti, to promote education for the children in Haiti.

Dave Segal, Jazz Accordion: "Each time that I listen to "First Tune", I like it even more than before. The vocals have the kind of crystal clear articulation and interpretation that is reminiscent of Nat King Cole. Likewise, the uniquely tasteful instrumentation and orchestration reminds one of the Cole Trio. The CD is refreshing and sets a new standard for the "less is more" approach with a tasteful presentation of some of the best standards of the American Songbook. But, not to be outdone by the giants of the past, Mr. Holden comingles a few surprises into his classic interpretation of the standards. And if that is not enough, he tosses in a couple of originals just to keep you interested. This is "must-have" CD that should be in the collection of every jazz connoisseur".

Chuck currently performs with a ten piece band called the NinJazz in the Washington, DC area and has been booked (by popular demand) to return to the Grand Cayman Island in July 2014.
