Album Notes
Still moving forward with the traditional rock aspect, this CD incorporates a different blend of instrumental music. From the hard driving rock of Energized, the acoustic blend of Signals, the smooth jazz fusion of Tranquility, to the classic rock of Horizons, this CD embodies a well rounded musical spectrum.

Can't get enough!
The one consistent criticism I have of Chuck Marcovecchio’s work is there simply isn’t enough of it! It’s a crying shame that those that can provide the adequate marketing and distribution that an artist the calibre of Chuck deserves, would rather plough their millions into jumped-up karaoke singers on reality tv shows. Still….
“Horizons” is more of an EP than a full blown album, with only five tracks in total, but it still makes for an entertaining and enchanting listen.
The prog-rock vibe of “Energized” takes you back to the 1970’s – in a good way – when to have good music (which there was plenty of) you had to have good musicians. Everything that Marcovecchio plays sounds so genuine and organic, a stark contrast to the heavily produced and processed sounds that polish up a lot of the rather mediocre and uninspiring dross we hear too frequently these days.
No need for fancy window dressing or relying on technology to make this artist’s work more appealing – the musicianship speaks for itself, as is evident in the acoustic and delightful “Signals” and the sunny, dreamy “Tranquility”.
“Visions” instantly makes me think of what Frank Zappa would have sounded like if he was genetically fused with Carlos Santana. The melodic innovation of Zappa’s fretboard antics and the almost latino soul stirring heart of Carlos. Listen to it and you’ll hear what I mean.
All in all, a very strong showing from Mr. Marcovecchio. Highly reccommended for those of you who have an ear and appreciation for great, passionate musicianship.
