Album Notes
This album reflects a high point in Church of Betty's Indo-Western fusion efforts. Chris Rael introduced orchestral string arrangements into his Indo-pop composition, the group was nearing the zenith of its chemistry, and fantastic special guests like flutist Steve Gorn and sarodist Steve James appeared. The recording is also wonder, produced by Rael, Danny Kadar and Bryce Goggin. A beautiful and ethereal record, including The Magic in You, I Swim in You, and Night Logic. "Listening to Church of Betty's album Fruit on the Vine feels a bit like being in a strange dream. A dream in which the surreal slowly becomes real and the unfamiliar becomes hauntingly familiar." -
