ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Twenty two years on and we're back! Well, nine years on really, if you count from the end (1999) and not the beginning (1986).
Myself and Marco from the original line-up are joined by Francesco and Claudio as Éire Nua set out once again to chart the beautiful waters of the music of Ireland and Scotland, a tradition that has spanned the centuries and which has been given new life over the last forty years by a generation of young musicians whose enthusiasm and expertise have produced a unique living repertoire.

With an eye both to the past and the present, Eire Nua will sail across a sea of songs of love, of emigration, of peace and of war while cresting the waves of jigs, reels, hornpipes and polkas.
Yes, we're back and we'd love to have you on board.
