Album Notes
As a sound healer who plays live music in yoga classes, massage therapy sessions, and group sonic journeys, I've gained a feel for the acoustic instruments that people enjoy listening to, such as Himalayan bowls from Tibet & Nepal, Koshi Chimes, Hapi Drums, and tanpura. These tracks will help you relax and restore your sense of balance and well-being. In sound healing, many enjoy toning or singing. The circulation of breath in the body while singing can move the energy through you just like walking or running can, which is beneficial and uplifting. In track 6 I invite you to tone OM and follow the breath work (breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, chant OM. As well, in tracks 7 & 8, chant the Gayatri and Asato Sadgamaya mantras (12 repetition chant cycle). The album ends with an original song called “Seventh”, which may be the most relaxing of all. Embrace its contemplative sounds.
