"One of my spiritual practices is to text three gratitudes each morning to my power posse. After listening to Cindy Novelo's new CD, "Meditation," I can tell you that tomorrow's list will be rife with thankfulness for this great honor. I am humbled and so grateful that Cindy bequeathed me with the opportunity to preview this beautiful, beautiful masterpiece before it is released to the public… Love, light and peace bubble out and spill over from this work of art. I am so honored to be a part...of this inspiring gift to the world."

Haunting… Soulful… Magical…

An award-winning singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Cindy Novelo’s music is a mesmerizing fusion of Americana, classical and world music - soulful sounds that rise from the hollows of Appalachia, Europe, India and beyond. Her new CD ‘Meditation’ pushes the boundaries of her innovative and luscious sound, resulting in a deeply moving musical experience that invites you to fall into grace.

Novelo’s authentic sound led Kansas Public Radio's Bob McWilliams to select her debut album Stone's Throw as one of his top picks for best folk albums of the year, along with albums by Sarah Jarosz, Richard Shindell and Cheryl Wheeler. “Her arrangements...reverberate with the melodies and traditions of both Medieval and Romantic Europe. The smoky peat fires of the Celts mix with the disciplined heat of full-on symphony... The human condition – bold and beautiful – is what speaks to us through her music.” ~Blue Sky Green Earth magazine
“Cindy’s music is rich with wide open landscapes, deep inner musings and full-on passion.”
~ Brooks Williams, composer and songwriter

Influenced by seventeen years of life overseas and a lifetime of spiritual seeking, it is Cindy’s deepest desire to help the world find healing through the unveiling of the heart and the letting go of the things that divide.
In addition to her lifelong dedication to music, Cindy is also a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200) and serious student of yoga philosophy. Cindy has rich and broad experience teaching courses, speaking, and facilitating workshops on yoga and yoga philosophy, healing, body awareness, creativity, cross-cultural understanding and performance preparation.

An ovarian cancer survivor, Cindy has experienced first-hand the bounty of grace within misfortune and endeavors in all her work to pave the way for others to experience the same. She finds working with others to deepen their own healing, spiritual and creative journeys one of her most rewarding endeavors. Cindy is currently authoring a book about her experience with cancer and cancer treatment entitled “How Can I Keep from Singing?” reflecting her unending gratitude and joy for life.

A native of Lawrence, KS, Cindy has performed across the U.S., in Europe and Latin America.
