The latest album by the superb L.A.-based Peruvian nylon-string guitar master Ciro Hurtado, called 'Altiplano,' serves up an intoxicating mixture of solo guitar pieces and numbers featuring small ensembles and/or female vocalists, in pan-Latin styles. Some of you might know him as a founding member and current musical director of the acclaimed Latin American folk-jazz ensemble, Huayucaltia.
