ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Tony "CISCO" Marsico is no stranger to the sparse desert sound. In 1984 his band The Plugz, were called on to score the cult film Repo Man". "This flick showed the lonely desolate side of the city few really know, the sound reflected the desert, afterall L.A. is one big desert except for a few plastic palm trees thrown in." says Marsico.
Marsico's band would slowly morph into The Cruzados and release two critically acclaimed albums on Arista Records between the years 1984- 1988 and toured extensively throughout the U.S and Europe eventually landing them a prime spot at Farm Aid .
Marsico would continue to record and tour with numerous artists including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Roger Daltrey, Marianne Faithful, Willie Nelson, Joe Ely, Dr. John , Matthew Sweet, Peter Case, John Doe among others.
It was at a recording session in the 90's for songwritter Gerry Goffin final album " Back Room Blood" Which featured Bob Dylan and many of L.A's session men where he would meet Darran "Dewey" Falcone. I recall this scruffy kid in the corner of the studio blowing some great harmonica and singing and thought to myself this guy should be making his own record"says Marsico. "Cisco And Dewey hit it off musically but touring got in the way, I spent the next dozen years on the road and Dewey just seemed to disapear. After about 12 years apart Marsico tracked down his old pal Dewey who had been living in the desert in Joshua Tree California and racing motorcycles. Having tired of the Hectic L.A. life Dewey retreated to the desert for a much simpler life.
In the spring of 2014 Cisco and Dewey got together in Joshua Tree and started writing songs together again and by June of 2014 they were recording their debut album with producer Tom Lavin. We kept the sessions to all good friends and called in our favorite players to record. the list includes Greg Leisz (Eric Clapton, Jackson Browne) , Rick Vito (Fleetwood Mac, John Fogerty, Barry Goldberg (Bob Dylan, Gram Parsons), Tony Gilkyson (x, Dave Alvin), Joel Alpers (Carole King), Gary Mallabar (Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison) and Gia Ciambotti (Lucinda Williams, Bruce Springsteen)
