Album Notes
The Civilians was a Fort Worth, Texas based melodic rock band who made music from 1995 until their last show in January of 2000. Solid writing, tight arrangements, & polished musicianship powered their songs.

The members went their separate ways after 2000:

Frontman matthew reincarnated himself as the matthew show, releasing his critically acclaimed debut solo disc, 'texas', in 2003 on the Naive Music label. His much-anticipated second album, 'february,' was released in October 2008 on the Wampus label and can be streamed here:

Guitarist Ron Geida continues to be active in the Fort Worth music scene with acts such as Villain Vanguard and Jasper Stone.

Bassist Layne McConnell has been a part of many great rock ensembles in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, and now pursues a solo career. He is currently recording his debut solo disc.

Drummer Jeff Simms is presently working on his debut solo album. You can hear his recent work with the band So It Goes here:
