Album Notes
Michael Civisca is a performer who sings the music of the Great American Songbook. His voice carries the warmth and style of a modern-day crooner.

Michael is dedicated to the production of recordings and performances that spotlight the music of the great composers including Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, George and Ira Gershwin, and Irving Berlin.

Civisca possesses a full-ranged baritone voice which he uses with finesse and discretion to fit the mood, tone and tempo of the song he's singing, Civisca is easily at home working with small trio groups, brassy big bands, or lush orchestras.

Michael debuted March 17, 1997 with his first CD, A Collection of Great American Standards. The CD was picked up on national radio by May of that year. MJJ Music and Sony stepped up to the task of redistributing Michael's music to a national market.

I love it..it is my second order for "Blue Skies."
This CD with Michael Civisca is so well done. I like the choice of songs & arrangements. He's a wonderful singer!!!!

Great voice but missed the big band accompanyment
I love the voice, his style and the song selection but I really miss the big band accompanyment I heard on the album he did in 2001. I just received Blue Skies.

Michael Civisca is a class act!
This CD provides Michael's incredible voice in a very intimate setting, with a broad selection of standards with one notable exception - a Nat Cole album track called "It's a Beautiful Evening" which Michael makes his own. Another standout is "It Could Happen to You" with Michael even outshining the better known Tony Bennett recording.

This is a must-have for Civisca fans, an A+ intro if you know nothing about his boundless talent, and an assurance that artists in the 21st Century can still bring electricity to the oft-repeated standards. This eclipses the Rod Stewart songbooks and then some.

Thank you, Michael!!!!!

Clearly the best cd on the market in years
Michael has the sort of voice that stops you in your tracks when you first hear him; it did me! And Blue Skies is a perfect example of that. He proves that the great singers haven't totally disappeared. Discover the magic of Michael every time you listen to Blue Skies.

Civisca is great. I have all his CDs. Blues Skies is great...
I prefer the big band, but the trio is fine. Civisca is smooth and polished in every cut of Blue Skies. Yet another must buy!!

Bernie Bischel

Great CD
I bought this for a friend. He absolutely loved the CD.

A Fantastic must have for lovers of great Jazz Standards
Micael Civisca is a phenominal vocalist who can croon with the best of them. He is destin to become a household name just like Harry Connick and Sinatra. This CD showcases his crisp edgy vocal talents and broad range. From his soooth effortlees version of HoneySuckle Rose to his uptempo slick stylings of "Here ill stay" and "sit right down and write myself a letter.". If you like the "New" crooners like Michael Bubele & Peter Cincotti ....do yourself a favor and get this Disc! Civisca WILL NOT DISSAPOINT YOU!~ :)

The music I love sung by someone whose voice brings such meaning to the lyrics.
