ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Guesswork is an improvisational piano album, composed entirely at the keyboard (in the dark), consisting of a series of impressions which chronicle a time of tremendous spiritual growth. Elements of classic and jazz styles strongly influence the album's style, sometimes intense, sometimes serene, each song carrying its melodic theme through storm and calm, transporting the listener to another place, pulling one in to the poignant refrain.

Composer and Keyboardist CJ Lewis began playing piano at the ripe old age of three. He spent the next fifteen years in classical piano training, beginning to perform professionally and compose around the age of 13.

After high school, CJ began to experiment with many different styles, performing on cruise ships, with the US Army Band, and with various bands in country, rock, jazz, and worship venues. It is this vast background that lends to his unique style of playing.

Guesswork will definitely satisfy even the most jaded listener, luring them note by note into an amazing story of family, love, and life.
