Album Notes
Claude Diallo Situation's fifth CD: Motion in Progress appears with the Swiss Jazz label Unit Records. This studio production differs from the previous albums and appears in a fresh and new approach. The piano jazz trio, consisting of Claude Diallo (New York based Swiss jazz pianist), Massimo Buonanno (no 1 Swiss drummer) and Laurent Salzard (parisian electric bass player), presents 10 newly composed and arranged tracks demonstrating a variety of styles going from groovy to swing.

The hit tune: Golden Stairs features Swiss soul star SEVEN on voice and Diallo uses different key instruments from (YAMAHA grand piano to a Wurlitzer piano and NORD ELECTRO 3).

If you liked the previous albums, which are all sold out: Traveling with Music / Now Then, / With Andy McGhee / Live at No Black Tie, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia / will most likely enjoy this new album as it is a smooth continuation of the interesting development of this internationally acclaimed Jazz trio that recently won an award for best Swiss Jazz band in 2012.

Either in Europe, Asia or America ....Claude Diallo Situation always succeeds to make people smile after they heard this wonderful music, which is a mix between world music, movie scores, pop melodies and jazz improvisations at the highest level, twined into clever arrangements featuring interesting harmonic approaches and odd-meter rhythms with an never ending energy at the highest level a band can perform matched to todays music standards.

Enjoy the new album. It is worth a listen.
