ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Clay Swafford is an ace boogie-woogie and blues piano player, playing festivals and sharing the stage with blues legends such as Hubert Sumlin, Carey Bell, Willie “Big Eyes” Smith, Bob Margolin, and Paul Oscher. His resume also includes a filmed piano documentary, playing with piano icons Pinetop Perkins, Marcia Ball, Henry Gray, and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Rooster is a personal, acoustic album featuring - along with his own compositions - some of the little-known blues gems that influenced Clay, in a setting that brings to mind the old piano house rent parties from back in the day. Featuring guest artists Diunna Greenleaf, Bob Margolin, and Bob Corritore, Rooster is a stunning debut from a blues/boogie piano master.
