Album Notes
King Kong Fell is a tribute to one of the iconic screen lovers of all time:
a miniature movie monkey with a giant heart, and by extension,
a love song for New York City, and its people,
and for everyone who was ever young there, in person or in dreams.

This song was written in ten minutes in 1972 when I lived in a loft two blocks from the Empire State Building, as an anthem for freedom,
and against fear.

King Kong Fell is a single, available exclusively as a digital download on iTunes and all of the other digital outlets CD Baby deals with.

Ten percent of every song purchase will go the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International.

Check for updates on contribution totals.

Thanks for listening.

Love, Clay

Squeeze every word from this song...wring it out!
Squeeze every word from this song...wring it out...and squeeze a little more. The message, both brilliant & insightful is purely poetry. Truth stays the same, give or take three decades...King Kong fell. Only in New York.

Fabulous love rap/ballad to NYC, poetic, intelligent, evocative, great voices, l
A love song to New York, this surprising mix of Elvis-like rap and Fay Wray aria has an infectious beat complementing intelligent and evocative lyrics, which tickle your brain as you can't help but move with the groove. Great voices, lyrics, music. AWESOME.
